Preserving the potential of the grape and respecting the wine
The winery was totally designed to enhance the best characteristics of the grape and simultaneously preserve the rural landscape. It is an innovative winery, designed with technical and aesthetic rigor, created to be discreet and modest, in a servile position towards the vineyard and the 300 ha of pure Alentejo that surround it.
Built in depth, with a total of 3 floors below the vineyard, with a bold and unexpected architecture, it fulfills the main purpose of not overlapping the inspiring sources of this project, the Vineyard and its Terroir, but also to contribute to the reduction of thermal amplitudes throughout the year, promoting the maintenance of a stable temperature, ideal for
proper evolution of wines with results in preserving freshness and balance.
At the same time, we wanted to preserve the potential of the grape and respect the wine during fermentation and aging, and so the use of pumps was totally excluded throughout the entire route, using only natural gravity throughout the production process.
This unique concept in Europe, will be available for visits from Monday to Saturday, including holidays.
